Learning, Speaking, and Having Fun in Hebrew

Dear Parents,

As we get ready for the new term, I’m excited to share all the wonderful things that have been happening in our Grade 2 class! 💛

In our Torah studies, we finished learning about the Six Days of Creation. The students truly impressed me with their knowledge! They can now describe what god created on each day and are confidently using the new vocabulary we learned, such as: sun, moon, light, land, animals, flowers, and more.

We also finished learning our Winter Unit. The children learned about winter clothing, winter weather, and activities we enjoy during the colder season. Throughout the unit, we practiced speaking and writing in Hebrew, including short sentences and answering questions such as: “What do I wear in the winter?

To celebrate the end of the unit, we held a special and super fun class activity — our “Winter Store”! Students role-played and used Hebrew to “buy” warm clothing and winter foods. Through this game, they practiced everyday conversation, new vocabulary, and building sentences — all in a joyful, relaxed atmosphere that encouraged confidence and participation.

Here are some Wordawll games to practice the vocabulary:

I am so proud of their progress and their willingness to try, speak, and take part 🌟
Thank you so much for your support at home — it truly makes a difference!
