Our grade 2’s have been doing a great job practicing their “mots d’automne” (fall words).聽 They each made their own set of cards, similar to a guess who game, and were testing each other! Bon travail!
French Studies homework beginning Monday Oct. 15th
Bonjour!
As of Monday, Grade 2 students will be going home with their homework duo-tangs.
Every week, they will have a new ‘plan de travail’ which can be found in their folders as well as on the blog under French Studies. Please consult that page when completing the readings each week.

Je cours pour Terry Fox
Grade 2 watched a video/song in French about Terry Fox, which was followed by discussion. The students were asked to come up with one or two words that came to mind when they thought about Terry Fox. They did a great job and were truly inspired!聽

First week in French class!
Bonjour! It has been a a great week well spent getting to know our grade 2’s!聽 They are a great group and all seem to be enthusiastic about learning French! To recap this week, we started doing calendar every day, practicing the days of the week as well as the months of the year. We have been putting emphasis on being able to say today’s date properly and remembering to start with the correct day of the week, the number and then the month and… they learned how to say the year 2018 en francais!
We also prepared their folders that will incorporate every activity that is related to them (an all about me folder). We will do various projects throughout the year that will enable them to display who they are and learn more about themselves! This should be a great year ahead! Shana Tova to all!
