Our Grade 2 students have become true animal researchers! We are coming to the end of phase 1 (research) for our animal projects and we will be moving onto phase 2 (creating presentations). Don’t worry – I will document phase 3 (giving presentations) and post it on our blog!
These students have been working so hard on their self-directed projects. Students started by choosing their animal groups, along with one or two animals within that group to study even deeper. They have been collaborating beautifully with their classmates and learning how to use various resources (books, videos, websites) to gather information… ENTIRELY ON THEIR OWN! Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself.
Great to see them having fun while developing such an important skill.
I love this kind of learning! Such important skills
